photoshoppery

Crazy album art perhaps?

Some fun in photoshop with a few of my tree sketches and flickr photos. What I'd really like to do is something like this in motion graphics.

the tree john deng helped me climb

I drew this at night, (it has a light right under it.)

I remember standing at the base of this tree after unsuccessfully trying to climb up the trunk. Just then my friend John Deng walked by and gave me a boost. It was a Saturday morning a year and a half ago.

I think Moby is my second favorite music to draw trees to, just under Philip Glass and above Beethoven.

Here's some quick mouse photoshoppery.

the last tree

Dystopian novel cover, anyone?

Painted in photoshop, drawn w/ ball-point pen:

I still find it difficult to draw the left side of trees. I remember Oliver Sacks writing about people with brain damage who couldn't eat the left side of a plate of food, but I think my problem is just that my hand is over the trunk when I draw the left side.
